A Word From Pastor Dennis– September 13, 2020
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life (Psalm 138:7)
What We should Know
And once we have called on God during our time of trouble, pleaded for His promise of deliverance but having not received it, and then continued to be oppressed until we are in the thick of battle, others may tell us as in Luke 8:49…. “Don’t bother the Teacher any more.”
In John 11:21, Martha said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” Jesus responded with His promise in John 11:23, “Your brother will rise again.”
We should know that when we “walk in the midst of trouble”, we tend to think like Martha. We are emotionally weakened and beyond the point of being delivered and hearing the Lord’s promise: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life.” God is there. God is on the throne. God will have the victory.
