They looked…and there was the glory of the Lord appearing in the cloud.

Exodus 16:10

When the dark clouds of life set in, seek the silver lining and continue to focus on it rather than the darkness at the center. Do not let discouragement bring you down.

A discouraged soul is in a helpless state; unable to “Stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11) nor is he able to pray for others.

Discouragement is a part of life and we need to avoid any sign of it and seek God’s promises. Our world is changing dramatically and we are naturally resistant to change.

Let us always seek the silver lining, realizing through faith that the power of God therein far surpasses Satan’s power of discouragement from within the dark recesses of the cloud.
