A Word from Pastor Dennis – June 15, 2020
I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
When I went through pilot training, one of the first rules of aerodynamics I learned was that flying into the wind increases altitude. The wings create more lift by flying against the wind. This simple lesson was learned simply by watching birds fly. If a bird is simply flying for pleasure, it goes along with the wind. But, if it senses danger, it turns into the wind to gain altitude.
God's winds are the sufferings we face. During the hot summer months in Florida, we endure the heat and humidity which can be unbearable. Then, the afternoon clouds begin to form and the cooling thunderstorms settle in. Those storms give us a complete change in atmosphere enabling us to endure. Let us be ever thankful for God's winds.
