Why do You stand afar off?

Psalm 10:1

Psalm 46:1 tells us that "God is our ever present help in trouble." Yet, He always seems to allow trouble to pressure us as though He were indifferent to the overwhelming pressure.

We live in a world of sin governed by the free will of mankind and nature. Because of that, God does not cause or control all that happens. Yet, He is with us all the way.

Sometimes we need to be reminded of the role and power of our faith in the past and then hold on to the fact that the same God is still with us and always will be.

Psalm 10 says that there are those who assume power over the weak and have no room for God in their heart. We must hold on to our faith and God's will in spite of them and be reminded of Psalm 10:17 which says, "You, Lord hear the desire of the afflicted; You encourage them, and You listen to their cry."
